Pray for Our Neighbors

We’ve recently added “Our Neighborhood” to the list in our Sunday bulletin of ministries we want to remember in our prayers. We did this because Walnut Creek Friends has felt increasingly led to reach out to and have an impact in the lives of those who live around 1950 First Avenue. For this reason we began sending Christmas and Easter blessings to them last year. We also regularly host Forgiveness Seminars for them. And we are working on other ministries to discover their needs and to help them. We believe that over time God will open the doors for us to connect with more and more of our neighbors, but that will happen only if we are praying for them. Pray for our neighbors and for God to open new doors for us to reach them, just as we would if Walnut Creek and Pleasant Hill were mission fields. The reality is … they are.
