Hiking With Friends - Saturday March 23.
/Saturday, March 23
9 a.m. – noon
Briones Regional Park - Moricich Lagoons and Beyond
This trail is at the North end of Briones Regional Park accessed from Alhambra Valley Road in Martinez. From the trail head, our first stop will be the Moricich Lagoons where we will look for California Newts on their annual migration from the forest to the ponds to breed. Up from there our goal will be catching views of the Diablo Valley and distant snow covered Sierra Nevada from the various trails and ridges nearby.
This 5-mile loop hike is considered "moderate" and has an elevation gain of 951 feet. Dogs are allowed.
What to expect: Expect mud along the trail. Wear layers as it will be cold in the morning and windy along the ridges.
What to bring: Layered clothing, boots, water, a snack, and as always, an openness for making friends.
Where to meet: You can meet me at the Walnut Creek Friends Church parking lot in the back at 9:00 a.m. sharp for carpooling or at the trail head around 9:30 a.m. (go all the way up to the south end of Old Briones Rd off of Alhambra Valley Rd in Martinez).
Please RSVP to let me know if you will meet up at the church or trail head.
Thanks,
Doug Bedinger - dbeding@sbcglobal.net

Read MoreHow To Make Your Husband Fall In Love With You Over and Over and Over? (And How He Can Make You Fall In Love With Him!)
/On our wedding day, Becky and I thought that our feelings of love for each other could never be stronger than they were at that moment. Our dream of being together completely and for always was finally becoming a reality. It felt so good to be together, to be married, to be in love. It was our dream and goal to somehow preserve that love as long as we could.
But our hidden fear was that someday our love would become dull and flat, or worse, we might fall out of love altogether.
